Mhone Appeals High Court Ruling on Elections Results

Parliamentary candidate for Nkhatabay central constituency Raphael Mhone has appealed to Supreme Court against High court ruling on his application to nullify elections results

Mzuzu High court judge Justice Ligowe ruled in favour of Symon Vuwa Kaunda who was declared winner of the elections on 21st May.

Mhone has sued Vuwa Kaunda and Malawi Electoral Commission.

Vuwa Kaunda was declared winner with 6418 against Mhone’s 6412.

Kaunda is Minister of Land, Housing and Urban Development and Mhone was parliamentarian for Nkhatabay central constituency between 2014 and 2019.
