Minister won’t meet Youth on Mzuzu Centre-Secretary

Ministry of youths, sports and culture says the Minister will not meet the youth of Mzuzu on their demand to withdraw the relocation of the city’s long awaited youth centre.

Secretary for the Ministry Chauncy Simwaka says Francis Phiso has prior commitments on the proposed date.

Simwaka has assured the youths that their concerns will be addressed promptly.

“He has asked me to inform you that the concerns have been noted by the Ministry. The need to engage all the concerned stakeholders including the youth themselves in this project need not to be overemphasized. The Ministry will do all it can to ensure that the peoject is implemented with no further delays,” said Simwaka

He says the Ministry will soon recruit a contractor to construct the youth centre behind Grand Palace Hotel.
