MOAM cancels strike

Minibus Owners Association of Malawi has called off the strike after government and insurance companies promised to revert to old premiums on minibuses.

Secretary General for Minibus Owners Association of Malawi Coxley Kamanga confirmed the development.

Kamanga said there is no way they can go ahead with their plans, since government and insurance companies have reverted to old premiums.

He therefore, applauded government, insurance companies and the wp-content for understanding on issues raised by minibus owners.

Kamanga said his Association planned to hold nationalwide strike where minibus would stop operating in protest against the hiking of insurance premiums by 100 percent.
