Nurses Petition Government on Employment

Nurses and Midwives who completed their studies have asked government to employ them.

According to a statement which the nurses have sent to ministry of health, 40,000 kwacha which government is paying them per month is not enough.

Chairperson of the group, Peter Kawaye, says they have given the ministry two weeks to employ them failure which will hold vigils at its office.

Kawaye, has emphasized that the nurses and midwives who are 5000 in total do not want to continue working as temporary staff with little payment.
