CDEDI Rejects ADMARC Closure Proposal

Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives CDEDI has rejected the proposal to close or sell Agriculture Development and Marketing Cooperation ADMARC

Addressing a press conference Executive Director of CDEDI Sylvester Namiwa says government must ensure that there is maize in ADMARC markets otherwise Malawians will take action to protect themselves from the hunger which is killing people in the country.

Namiwa has condemned President Lazarus Chakwera’s silence on maize scarcity and exorbitant prices

He said had it been that government had delivered affordable fertilizer in time the nation would be free from hunger
