Likoswe community worried with Nguludi Mission Hospital’s demand of money from tuberculosis presumptive
Community members from Traditional Authority Likoswe in Chiradzulu district have expressed worries over reports that Nguludi Mission Hospital is demanding money from tuberculosis presumptive who seek services from the facility.
The concerns have been raised though government through National TB and Leprosy Elimination Program signed a memorandum of understanding with private and mission hospitals to provide free services to TB patients.
But, in an interview with the community members around the area during a media tour organized by the program, it was discovered that TB presumptive are afraid of visiting the facility as it demands K5200 for scanning.
