Muslim women trained in entreprenuership

Muslim women have been advised to venture into entrepreneurship in order to become economically independent.

Sultan Chowe made the call at Mehboob memorial centre in Mangochi during a closing ceremony of ARTS and TALURAR workshop which was aimed at equipping the females with vocational skills.

The workshop was organized by Muslim Female Teachers Organisation in collaboration with Faiza Muhammad Abdallah from Sudan.

Sultan Chowe said educating females is very crucial as they are significant aspect of development in the country.

“I am happy that school enrollment is increasind despite high school dropout and early pregnancies,” said Sultan Chowe

Commenting chairperson for Muslim Females Teachers Organisation MUFTO Zackia Hafswa Noordin said the training was organized to empower the women as they experience many challenges.

Speaking to radio Islam after the workshop some of the participants Halima Nkhoma and Atusyasye Chinkhota commended MUFTO for the initiative as they many things such as making flower vase.
