Police arrest UTM officials, police officer over aiding, defiling illegal immigrant respectively

Northern region police has arrested UTM officials for aiding illegal immigrant who is a 13 year old girl and a police officer for defiling the same child

Spokesperson of Northern police Maurice Chapola has confirmed the arrest of law enforcer Clement Temuwa as well as UTM officials Patience Kondowe and Jane Mbale

The UTM vehicle was transporting the girl from Karonga to Mzuzu.

Meanwhile, immigration officials in the northern Region have said it is sad that people are still aiding illegal immigrants into the country.

When asked UTM spokesperson Frank Tumpale Mwenefumbo denied granting the interview saying the matter is being investigated by police
