Students with Albinism get Scholarship

Innobuild Construction Company has launched scholarship scheme that will provide school needs for 16 Form 1 Students with albinism in government boarding schools across the country.

Speaking during the launch Innobuild Chief Executive Director, Billy Jonathan Chiwotha said they thought of sponsoring students to encourage them in their studies.

Chiwotha said the scholarship which will run for 4 years covers the school fees, pocket money and Uniform among others.

“The Scholarship will cost 16 Million Malawi Kwacha,” said Chiwotha

In his remarks, President of Association of people with Albinism in Malawi (APAM), Ian Simbota appreciated Innobuild for the work it has done saying has made people with Albinism know that they also important in the country.

Simbota asked the students to work hard in class in order to pass with flying colours.

Commenting, Director of Department of Disability in the Ministry of Gender children, Disability and social Welfare, Felix Sapala commended Innobuild for the scholarship saying has helped government in protecting and educating people with albinism.
