Beira route damage won’t affect Malawi’s fuel importation-MERA

Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority MERA says the road damage on Beira route will not affect fuel importation and supply into the country

In public notice MERA says Malawi imports its fuel from Beira and Nacala ports in Mozambique and Dar es Salaam port in Tanzania

It says only the Beira route has been affected by a road cut off and repairs have commenced

According to MERA management currently the country has adequate internal fuel stocks and importation of petroleum products has been intensified to ensure continued supply of fuel
