Chaos in parliament after Mtambo’s Ministerial statement

There was chaos in parliament when members of parliament were asking questions to Minister of civic education and national unity Timothy Mtambo

Some of the parliamentarians attacked Mtambo after he presented his ministerial statement in the national assembly

Mtambo said it was not good to attack him and the second deputy speaker of parliament Aisha Mambo Adams rescued him several times from the angry MPs

In his statement he pleaded with Malawians to avoid spreading false information about the ministry and destructive criticism on him

Mtambo appealed to treasury to allocate enough resources to the ministry in order to provide necessary civic education to Malawians.

“The peace reconciliation bill is ready and will be tabled in parliament soon,” Mtambo

The Minister of civic education disclosed that the ministry intends to establish cultural trade fair day to showcase various cultural traditions and promote unity
