Cholera outbreak doesn’t warrant schools opening delays

Ministry of Education says the current cholera disease status does not warrant the delay the opening of schools.

The ministry’s principal secretary, Chikondano Mussah stressed that the ministry will continue enforcing hygienic practices in all learning institutions.

Mussah further said the closure of schools or suspension of lessons over health issues does not happen without recommendations from ministry of health, hence assuring the citizenry that schools will open on Tuesday 3rd January 2023 as scheduled.

She has since called upon community members to be vigilant by making sure that there is no food vending in school premises.
