Court fails to rule on Mpinganjira’s judges bribery case
High court in Blantyre has failed to give a ruling in the Thom Mpinganjira bribery case scheduled for this morning.
According to sources at the high court the matter has been deferred to a later date as reports indicate that the business man has fallen ill.
High court judge Dorothy Degabriella and parties in the case are meanwhile, holding a virtual meeting to decide on the date when the ruling will be made.
Dr Mpinganjira is answering a case of trying to bribe five high court judges who were presiding over presidential elections case.
The ruling was expected to be delivered on 9 March 2021 after lawyers representing the state and defense presented their submissions
