High court has ordered sheriffs to seize moveable property of former president Peter Mutharika and ex-chief secretary to government Lloyd Muhara

The court has made that order after Mutharika paid 47 million kwacha fine for forcing the retirement of chief justice Andrew Nyirenda

The two were ordered to pay 69 million kwacha after being found guilty in a case whose applicants were Human rights defenders coalition, association of magistrates in Malawi and Malawi law society

The court also seized Mutharika’s bank accounts and former president applied against it but the court rejected his application
