Do or Die Day for Mpinganjira not yet

The High Court is yet to set a date for the judgment in the case which Dr Thomson Mpinganjira is answering the corruption charges.

Dr Mpinganjira was arrested in January last year and is accused of attempting to bribe five judges of the High Court of Malawi who presided over the presidential election nullification case, to rule in favour of former president Peter Mutharika.

During the adjournment, Judge Dorothy Degrabriela said the case would resume after 40 days when the registrar would set the date for the judgment.

High Court Registrar, Gladys Gondwe, told Radio Islam that she cannot state the actual date as the court indicated that the judgment will be delivered within 40 days from the date the case was adjourned.

She said when the specific date is set as fair to both parties, the public will be noticed.
