Ethiopians arrested for illegal entry

19 Ethiopians aged from 20 to 24 have been arrested in Chitipa district for illegal entry.

According to Inspector Abel Mkandawire of Chitipa police the arrest took place at Lufita trading centre.

Mkandawire said police had received a tip from well wishers that one villager at the trading centre was keeping illegal immigrants in his house.

Police officers raided the house of Mr Kalinga where they found the 19 Ethiopians without travelling documents.

Currently Kalinga is at large.
