Government declares cholera a “public health emergency”

Government has declared the cholera outbreak in the country a public health emergency

In a statement the Ministry of health the declaration is in line with world health organization systems for public health threats

Minister of health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda says the Ministry convened the first inter-ministerial cholera control meeting for ministers on 21^st November

The Ministers agreed to work with partners and make available resources for cholera control interventions

Therefore government calls on everyone to participate in cholera prevention and control activities especially in this rainy season
