Leader of House in Parliament disputes Chilima’s impeachment reports

Leader of the House in Parliament Richard Chimwendo Banda has disputed reports that government side intends to commence impeachment proceedings against Vice President Saulos Chilima.

Chimwendo says no such motion was considered during Wednesday’s business committee meeting

According to Banda for any business item to be considered by the House it must be examined first by Business Committee as per Standing Orders.

The leader of the house has assured the public that the forthcoming Meeting of Parliament will discuss usual business items such as Ministerial Statements and Questions.
