Malawi Muslim students appeal for long-term assistance

Polytechnic Muslim Students Association POMSA appeals for long term assistance to 10 first year Muslim students who lack food and accommodation.

Few weeks ago POMSA sounded an SOS to Muslim community to assist 10 students in need of upkeep allowances at the college.

Speaking to Radio Islam Chairperson for POMSA Prince Hassan said “We managed to get over two hundred thousand kwacha only from Muslim well wishers which was shared among the 10 needy Muslim students for food and accommodation up to 20 July 2018.”

Hassan however said there is need for long term solutions to the problem as it is affecting the students’ studies at the college.

He therefore urged Islamic organizations and individuals to come forward and assist the students on the matter.
