Malawi registers Indian covid-19
Malawi Health equity Network (MHEN) has advised the public to intensify their in adherence to health guidelines in order to control the further spreading of covid 19 virus.
The call comes after Presidential Taskforce on Covid 19 confirmed that the country has registered Indian corona virus variant.
Executive Director for MHEN, George Jobe, said it is sad that the cases are registered at a time when people have relaxed in following the guide lines.
“It is also time for government to put very strict measures in the borders and put all people coming into the country into the institutional quarantine,” Jobe
Ministry of Health has confirmed that some of samples sent to South Africa have tested positive of the Indian covid 19 variant among those are from Salima Sugar Company.
