Malawi’s Food and Fun Festival for Palestinians, Lebanese receive overwhelming response
Malawi Palestine Solidarity Movement MPSM says has received overwhelming response in its ticket sales for the food and fun festival aimed at raising funds for people of Palestine and Lebanon
Speaking with Radio Islam, MPSM National Coordinator, Asabuni Phiri says people from all walks of life have expressed their availability and support for the cause.
Phiri says although they are calling it food and fun festival people should come with a mind of helping Palestinians who are suffering the continued Israel atrocities.
He adds that this is not a religious, tribal or political event hence calling upon people to patronize it so as to raise more funds for people of Palestine and Lebanon
The day is commemorated on 29th November every year but the event has been shifted to 1st December to allow more people to patronize the festival
