Mama Khadijah Girls Academy installs new learning technology
Mama Khadijah Girls Academy has installed new technology known as one screen interactive panel to achieve quality learning.
Speaking during the ceremony Chief Quality Assurance Officer from Ministry of education Edina Manyungwa praised the Academy for coming up with such an Electronic Learning service which is the first of its kind in the country.
Manyungwa said what Mama Khadijah has done should set an example to all education stakeholders saying with One Screen Panel Board learners can be able to access their lessons and engage with their teachers from where ever they are.
“Government will copy the initiative so that with the pandemic at hand learners shall have access to education as it is the best method to avoid contracting Covid 19,” Manyungwa
She encouraged Girls at Mama Khadijah Academy to take their learning sessions seriously, saying they are lucky to have such technology at their disposal whilst their counterparts in different secondary schools across the country lack such facility.
In his remarks, Head teacher of Mama Khadijah girls Academy Andrew Livanga said they thought of having Electronic learning system at the institution to achieve their goal of educating the girls even during this pandemic
“The one screen interactive panel accommodates 50 learners at a time, meaning if there are 8 classes 400 students will be accommodated at a time,” Livanga
Meanwhile, one of the form four students at Mama Khadijah Girls Academy Emma Banda thanked the institution for the initiative saying they will benefit from the new technology.
Banda said they cannot take this for granted and promised to take it seriously for them to achieve their goals of scoring best examination results.
