MEC to mold Voters register for by-elections

Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has said will now mold the voters’ registers in readiness to the November 10 by election.

MEC Public Relations and Media Manager, Sangwani Mwafulirwa, said this after the phasing out of voter registration and verification exercise for the forthcoming by elections.

Mwafulira said so far the exercise has gone smoothly that there is no any reason of extending the dates.

“MEC, has provided all necessary opportunities to all eligible voters in all areas to go and register of verify their names in the voters register,” said Mwafulirwa

The by-elections will be held in six constituencies and one ward due to court ruling and deaths.
