Minister of national unity appeals to political parties, CDM to promote peace

Minister of national unity Timothy Mtambo has appealed to all political parties and other stakeholders to promote peace and unity in the country

Speaking during the official opening of Centre for Multiparty Democracy CMD stakeholders’ conference in Llongwe Mtambo encouraged tolerance among citizenry

He said his ministry is in the process of establishing national day of unity and dialogue through which people from all walks of life, different cultural backgrounds and political affiliations will come together and celebrate being a Malawian

“Malawians should develop an inclusive wealthy and self-reliant nation as stated in Malawi 2063,” Mtambo

He said the Ministry has started putting in place structures that will provide conducive environment for all to participate in peace keeping

Mtambo emphasized that CMD should provide an opportunity to political parties to express their concerns and needs.
