Muslim Association of Malawi MAM has urged Muslims in the country to aspire to fulfill one of Islam’s pillars of performing hajj.
National vice chairman for MAM Sheikh Shuaib Ibrahim said this in Chilinjiro village in Dedza district during celebrations to mark the return from Saudi Arabia of four villagers who attended this year’s pilgrimage.
Sheikh Ibrahim said Muslims who can afford should perform it in their lifetime.
“It is pleasing to note that the number of hujjaj from the village is growing hence thanking ALLAH for the blessing,” said sheikh ibrahim.
In his remarks, one of the hujjaj Daud Major thanked the villagers for the celebration.
He told radio Islam that performing pilgrimage is very special as it uplifts ones faith hence the need for every Muslim to experience it in their life time.
