Mutharika returns from ICCF with a promise to deal with wildlife crimes

Government has assured the nation of its commitment towards the protection of the wild life in the country.
Speaking during a press conference in the capital Lilongwe on the state president’s return from United States of America where he went to attend International Conservations Caucus Foundation ICCF meeting convention.
“My government will construct new and modern national park in the country which will boost the country’s tourism sector and in turn bring the much needed forex in the country,” disclosed Mutharika.
He added that government will step up efforts in equipping game rangers to enable them carry out their work effectively of conserving the environment.
The president said while in the US he held discussions with different organizations which will help to fund activities towards conservation of the environment.
He said proper drainage of rivers and planting trees will help the country in electricity building capacity.
In this regard the president asked the nation for support towards the initiative.
