Ngongomwa CBO clean Likangala Evacuation Centre

Councillor for Likangala ward in Zomba has urged people living around Likangala evacuation centre to take care of it

Munira Bakali made the remarks when members of Ngongomwa Community based organisation cleaned and planted trees around the centre to create shade and protection of the facility

Bakali said many victims of disasters seek shelter at the evacuation centre hence a life saving facility

She said the ward has managed to plant 20, 000 trees in the 2024 to 2025 national forestry season as planned

Publicity secretary for Ngongomwa CBO Grant Ndau said the evacuation centre was in a bad state hence volunteering themselves to clean the place
