NICE introduces covid-19 tracking platform

National initiative for civic education NICE has introduced a platform of tracking incidences happening in the community in context of covid 19 and gender based violence.

Executive director for NICE Trust Ollen Mwalubunju speaking during the training of volunteers in Blantyre said the exercise is part of an initiative on early warning.

Mwalubunju said his office will have a small intervention room in Lilongwe where “we shall be receiving reports from their volunteers and refer them to authorities for intervention.”

Commenting one of the NICE volunteers who participated in the training Gloria Mphepo from Chilaweni ward, said the training has equipped them with skills of monitoring and reporting by using new gadgets that have been given to them.
