Over 50 female Muslims to contest in Women Quran Competition
National Holy Quran Competition Committee says more than 50 female participants are expected to contest in the finals of Women Quran Competition at Maryam Girls Teacher Training College on Sunday 8th July.
Speaking to Radio Islam ahead of the finals, national Coordinator of National Holy Quran Sheik Cassim Chongolo said performance of Muslim women in the first and second phases of the competition was amazing.
“Women are very important in the religion and are great teachers for future generations,” Sheikh Chongolo says.
He said all is set for the competition and the Quran competition committee is living up to its objectives of promoting Islamic knowledge among Muslim women.
