Paramount Chief Kawinga attacked by thugs

Paramount Chief Kawinga of Machinga district and several others are battling for their life at the hospital after unknown thugs attacked them at his house last night.

Radio Islam can establish that the armed thugs went to the chief’s residence where they assaulted the guards before beating the paramount and leaving him seriously injured.

Speaking to in an interview, Eastern Region police public Relations Officer, Joseph Sauka, said all victims are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

Sauka was quick to say that “police are already on the ground investigating in order to find out the suspects and bring them to court.”

Some people suspect that the attack is political in nature.
