Police arrest Manondo over cyber harassment

Police in Lilongwe have arrested Dauka Manondo 51, for allegedly insulting and harassing on social media, labour minister Vera Kamtukule.

Confirming the development, Lilongwe police publicist, Hastings Chigalu said Manondo has been arrested after 5 women lodged a complaint over Manondo’s demeaning comments and police moved in to arrest him on 27^th April 2022.

“Manondo has been charged with cyber harassment which is contrary to section 86 of cybercrimes act,” Chigalu adds

He has meanwhile advised the masses to be responsible enough when posting or commenting anything on social media.
