Six Ministers To Accompany Malawi President To UNGA
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Emmanuel Fabiano has said 6 ministers will accompany the president to this year’s UN General Assembly UNGA.
Fabiano has disclosed during a press conference at Capital Hill in Lilongwe.
He says the 73rd UNGA will be held from 25th September to 5th October under the theme “Making United Nations Relevant to all people: Global Leadership and Shared Responsibilities for peaceful, equitable and sustainable societies.”
“We are very ready for UNGA where various issues will be discussed such as health, education, security and justice,” Fabiano says
He also says this year’s UNGA will among others focus on issues that can promote sustainable economic growth and development.
In the past UNGA meetings President Peter Mutharika was accused of taking a huge entourage which cost tax payers money.
