Son kills father

A 21 year old man suspected to be a psychiatric patient has hacked to death his own biological father and seriously wounded the mother in Dedxa.

Dedxa police deputy spokesperson constable cassim Manda said the deceased is Bisweck Misomali 61 and the suspect Solomoni Misomali from Kamala village TA Kachere in the district.

“Last night we received the tip that Solomoni Misomali killed his father by hacking him on the head with an axe and his mother on the neck. When we asked him he pleaded guilty and explained that he committed the offence because his spirits had commended him to do so to get rid of the burden they contributed to earth,” explained Manda.

Last month an 80 year old woman was also hacked to death by a person believed to be a psychiatric patient.

In a related development six people have been arrested for allegedly stealing fertilixer from a truck which was involved in an accident.

Manda says the accident and theft happened on 20th October at Linthipe 3.

“The suspects are Tawina Ausman 27, Malixani Tafatatha 23, Jailos Kafwafwa 38, Tiyamike Mkaliwafa 21, Brino Willim 34 and Marko Square 24, all from Pinji Village TA Kaphuka in Dedxa district,” Manda expressed.

He said 20 out of 600 bags of fertilizers have been recovered.
