Information meets media managers

Minister of Information and digitalization has urged media houses to play a big role in sensitizing the masses on the global issues leading to the increase in the prices of goods.

Gospel Kazako made the remarks when he met media houses owners and managers in Blantyre.

Kazako said there has been a lot of misinformation on issues happening in this country especially the increase in prices of goods hence the need for the media to step in and inform the masses that these are a result of global economic trends.

“Government appreciates the role the media plays and has meanwhile expressed commitment to ensure growth of media industry,” Kazako

Recently Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives CDEDI asked government to stop claiming that the rise of goods in the country is due to war in Ukraine
