Judiciary resumes discussions with govt over strike

Judicial Support staff have resumed their salary increment discussion with government few days after announcing the plan of taking the matter to parliament.

Mlenga Mula who is the Malawi Judicial Service spokesperson told Radio Islam that it was too early to tell the public the progress of the discussions claiming that it maight disturb the process.

The judicial support staff went on strike for over seven weeks since last year forcing government to increase their salaries.

At the beginning of this year government increased the salaries by 24 percent effective July, 2015.

However, the judicial support staff rejected saying they wanted it immediately.
