Malawi performing poorly in SDGs-report

The 2022 peoples report of Council for NGOs in Malawi (CONGOMA) and National civil society task force on sustainable development goals (SDGs) shows that Malawi is performing poorly in some development goals.

The peoples score cards on SDGs in Malawi indicate that the country score 4 percent on goal number one of ending poverty, 10 percent on goal number 2 which aims at eradicating hunger and 6 percent on affordable as well as clean energy as only 8 years remain to achieve the goals by 2030.

Speaking to Radio Islam chairperson of CONGOMA Cossam Munthali said the country is not improving on ending poverty and hunger due to corruption

Munthali adds Malawi can improve by doing some innovations which can help to build its legacies.
