MBS warns food processers against forging medical examination results for employees

Malawi Bureau of Standards MBS has warned food processing units against forging medical examination results for their employees

Acting executive director of MBS Thomas Senganimalunje says some catering service providers and food handlers do not arrange for such teats

Senganimalunje says forging medical or test results for employees is a serious offence under MBS Act

He says the law stipulates that every person employed in food establishment shall be medically examined periodically every 6 months to avoid transmission of communicable and contagious diseases when handling food
