Task-force to review government allowances, procurement, employment contracts formed

Vice president Dr Saulos Chilima has formed task-force to comprehensively review the three government systems of allowances, procurement and employment contracts

This follows directive from the president to Chilima on 14^th February to form and lead the special task force

Press officer of the vice president Pilirani Phiri says the taskforce will be chaired by Chilima and submit its recommendations to the president within 90 days.

According to Phiri “the taskforce comprises 14 members and will hold its first meeting on Thursday 25^th February to agree on action plan with clear timelines”

He expressed that the taskforce will ensure the public is regularly engaged and held accountable by the president as well as Malawians.
