Islamic Zakaat Fund IZF has introduced online bursary application for needy students.

In an interview with radio Islam on this new development Islamic Zakaat Fund Bursary officer Daud Pius said it is one way of improving IZF’s working procedures and accommodating more beneficiaries in the Muslim society.

Pius further said the online application will also help donors to directly access the information of beneficiaries and know the actual number of applicants per year.

“This might also encourage donors to pump in more funds therefore assisting many Muslims in Malawi,” Pius said.

He said currently the system is working for local college applicants since it is in the first phase.
